The Bleeding Heart

The idea for this story came out of the blue. My characters Booklyn and Daniel spoke very loudly to me, forced me to write this story. While I wrote the scenes, I laughed and cried my way through it. This is the book of my heart. The one. After more revisions than I can even begin to count, I am self-publishing my debut novel, The Bleeding Heart.

As an apprentice at her uncle’s tattoo shop, Brooklyn practices the art of dispensing pain onto others by tattooing and piercing human skin. Practice makes perfect, especially since the man she really wants to torture rots in jail for murder.

Brooklyn is a talented artist and it’s this part of her—the normal part—that tears at her soul in a good vs. evil battle of wills. Her obsession with tattoos and blood, quickly turns to desire for Daniel, the guy she dreams about getting on her tattoo table.

Daniel has a different idea as to what they should be doing with their bodies, which may be the only thing that can save her. Unfortunately, Brooklyn spirals out of control and her sanity begins to slip. In the end she will have to choose between exacting vengeance, staying alive, and loving Daniel.
